The Autumn Meeting will take place on Thursday 21st September at Saltford Golf Club (Golf Club Lane, Saltford, BRISTOL, BS31 3AA).
The format of the day is as follows:
Coffee and Bacon Rolls available from 9am when the Registration Desk will also open.
18 Holes Four Ball Better Ball Stableford (85% of Course Handicap) with tee times from 10:30 am to 12:30pm. You cannot play with the same partner as at the Spring Meeting at Mendip Spring.
Two-Course Rolling Meal to follow consisting of Roast Beef and Lemon Cheesecake.
Prize giving to follow when the last groups are sitting at their tables. There will be prizes for the best four teams (depending on entry numbers), skills prizes and also the winner of the Griffith Trophy for the highest combined individual score of those who played in both the Spring and Autumn Meetings.
We will be operating 4 tee slots from 1030 – 1100, 1100 – 1130, 1130 – 1200 and 1200 – 1230. To enter this event, please email Clive – secretary@somersetgolfcaptains.co.uk stating your preferred tee time slot and also indicating whether you wish to pair up with another Captain or you are happy for me to pair you up. If you do have a partner in mind, the SGC Exec Committee would like to encourage you to play with a pair that you don’t regularly play with.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY CAPTAIN WHO EXPRESSED THEIR INTEREST WHEN THE SELECTION PROCESS TOOK PLACE IN MARCH/APRIL 2023 WILL STILL NEED TO REQUEST A TEE TIME AND CONFIRM THEIR INTENTION TO PLAY.
If you wish to book a buggy for the day, please make this clear in your email as there is a limited fleet at Saltford, and it will be important that I book them.
The cost of the day will be £45 per Captain to include all food and the prize table. We are very grateful to Saltford Golf Club for offering us the use of the Club and working with us to keep the cost as close as possible to our match fee of £40. I will email all entrants asking them to pay their entry fee (by BACS if possible) on September 1st 2023, and I hope to be able to issue the final tee sheet soon afterwards.
Kind regards
Clive Stilwell – Secretary, Somerset Golf Captains
