The 2024 Autumn Meeting is now open for booking.

When? Thurs 26th September 2024 – tee times from 1100am to 1250pm
How do I book?
There are spaces for 24 pairs, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and you can only book by emailing the Secretary –

What’s the format?
This is a four ball better ball format and there will be a range of place prizes and skills prizes. You can enter with another Captain or as a single player and be paired up by me. The only stipulation is that you must not have played as a pair in the 2024 Spring Meeting as there is a cumulative score competition for the Griffith Trophy. We also ask that you don’t play with the same people every time!
If you prefer an early or late tee time, then just include this with your booking email and I will do my best to accommodate you.
In accordance with the R&A handicapping guidance, now that 4 ball better ball is an authorised format of play for handicapping purposes, Somerset Golf Captains will be processing scores as required by England Golf provided we have the software in place for September.
The cost for the day will be £45 for all entrants, regardless of home club. This will include coffee/tea and bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a two-course meal with 2 main course choices and 2 dessert choices as well as vegetarian options. Dinner will be served on a rolling basis and the prize-giving will only commence once the final group are at their dinner table (probably around 5.45pm).
If you wish to book a buggy, please do so directly with the Club and just let me know in case any other Captains would like to share.
Do I need to pay now?
No – I will confirm final tee allocations nearer the day at which time I will ask you to pay £45 via BACS. There is no need to pay before the final tee time allocation!
