Wells Golf Club are saddened to announce the death of past captain Jan Nicholls, Club Captain in 1991-2. Jan had joined Wells from Kingweston (to which he returned in later years) and became a stalwart of the club, serving both on committee and as an excellent captain. A well-liked and sociable club man, he was a keen supporter of the social teams, initiating an annual Christmas fixture with Sherborne. He was a great ambassador for Wells who will be much missed by his many friends around the county.
The funeral is at 12.30pm on Friday 8th March at Mendip Crematorium, followed by a wake at the Victoria Club in Street.
