Since slecting and announcing this team, we have now had further news from Dorset.
Unfortunately, Dorset have now informed us that Weymouth Golf Club is currently not accepting visitors, or societies or other groups, and so the match scheduled for 4th August is now postponed, probably cancelled.
Dorset have indicated that they will try and rearrange the fixture for September if circumstances change. If this happens, we will contact you personally to see if you still want to play. We have no possible date for this re-arranged fixture at the moment.
Wells Captains and Somerset Ladies Past Captains have also cancelled, which means we have lost all our inter county matches. Such a shame.
Stay safe

Please note the following safety advice and protocols
- Captains to travel separately.
- Teams will be 12-a-side, (not 16-a-side) in order to reduce numbers in the clubhouse
- On arrival, you will be offered coffee and bacon roll (or similar)
- We do not know whether the changing rooms will be open.
- Showers will certainly not be available; and so jackets and ties are not required. You are welcome to socialise afterwards in your golf gear
- Nevertheless, you want to take a change of clothes (in case you get wet)
- Food will be provided at the half way house during your match. We understand that this will probably be a barbeque
- You are welcome to have a drink with your opponents on the patio/terrace area after the match
- The club will probably prefer card payments to cash
- The match fee will be reduced from £35 to £30.
Good Luck Somerset!
