We are pleased to say that as part of the Captains prostate cancer support, our first event was held at Mendip Spring Golf Course last Thursday. This was run by David Bate & a number of other willing volunteers. Twenty teams played in a shotgun start Bowmaker on a sunny day and enjoyed a bacon roll before golf and a two-course meal. Afterwards everyone was entertained with a comedian (Adrian Walsh), before the auction and prize presentation.
An incredible £4,400 was raised on the day, which helps fund PSA tests. Two days later 240 men undertook their free PSA tests & a further £2,600 was raised.
Our next fundraising event is at Saltford on Thursday 8th October which is a Texas scramble in teams of 4. The price is £55 and includes bacon roll on arrival, two course meal, £5 charity donation & prizes. Everyone eats together with the presentation following on.

On the same day and venue, the Perpetual Trophy will be held with the Captains team playing the Captain Elects team. Full details on how to enter will be provided at a later date.
