In accordance with its Rules, Somerset Golf Captains Annual General Meeting 2026 will be held at Enmore Park Golf Club from 1100 on Tuesday 7th April 2026. The items for the agenda are set out below.

Item 9 – Other Business
To consider a proposal from the Executive Committee to amend the Rules and Constitution, Section, 2 first paragraph, by adding the text in italics below:
“Club Captains, past and present, of all Golf Clubs affiliated to Somerset Golf Union, and past and present Captains of Somerset Golf Union, are entitled to membership of Somerset Golf Captains. Such membership will be for life on payment of the subscription of twenty-five pounds and will include the presentation of a SGC tie or scarf as appropriate.”
This motion will require the approval of at least two thirds of those members attending the 2026 AGM in order to be adopted.
Note:
Members are required to submit any items for consideration under AOB at least 7 days before the date of the AGM. Such items must be sent by email to secretary@somersetgolfcaptains.co.uk. This will enable the Secretary to give members the requisite notice of any such item.
