As the torrential rain finally, we hope, comes to an end, it’s time to turn your attention to the 2026 SGC season.
Firstly our thanks to all of you who came to the Annual Dinner. We will advise you all of how much we raised for the SPSA charity when we have balanced the books and we are also arranging for some feedback to be given to the Hotel on a few niggles that we have been asked to note. The photos of the event can be found here
Dates for you to be aware of are:
2026 Fixtures Selection Meeting – 2nd April 1030 at Enmore Park GC (you will receive your confirmation emails of the matches you are selected for in the following few days). Please could you set your availability by clicking on the Selection 2026 tab by 10pm on 31st March 2026.
2026 AGM –Tuesday 7th April 1100 at Enmore Park GC and the calling notice will be issued at least 14 days in advance. Clothing will be available for you to purchase.
2026 Spring Meeting at Saltford Golf Club on 30th April 2026 with tee times from 1000 onwards – the calling notice with all of the details will be issued towards the end of March 2026. Please don’t enter before then!
Our season starts with a fixture against Oxfordshire on Thursday 16th April at Witney Lakes GC and the team will be selected in plenty of time to issue the emails to those playing (this team is selected ahead of the formal selection meeting in order to give adequate notice).
The 2026 tour is on 13th and 14th May in Surrey and Sussex.
Please help the Executive Committee by paying your fees for all events and matches when requested and letting someone know if you cannot play for any reason.
We expect our Captains to wear SGC golf clothing and to put a jacket and SGC tie on (or Ladies equivalent) after all matches and events. If you need anything from the shop, please email the Secretary who will arrange for the items to be delivered to you and issue a request for BACS payment.
